Hi bloggers This week in writing we have been looking at persuasive writing. And so far this is my second piece. This piece is about cats being the best pets. Hope you like looking at my persuasive writing. (make sure to comment about what you think).
In this task I had to write a persuasive piece and I thought that cats were the best pets so I made a piece of persuasive writing.
My work:
Introduction
When choosing the perfect pet, it’s important to find one that fits well with your lifestyle and personality. For me, that pet is a cat. With their independent behavior, easy care, and comforting presence, cats check every box for what I need in a companion animal. They bring joy, peace, and fun without overwhelming responsibility.
First Paragraph
One of the main reasons I prefer cats is their independent nature. Unlike dogs, cats don’t need constant attention or supervision. They are perfectly happy entertaining themselves, sleeping for long hours, or simply lounging near a sunny window. This independence makes them ideal for someone like me, who values personal space and a calm environment.
Second Paragraph
Cats are also low-maintenance, which is another big plus. They groom themselves, use a litter box, and don’t need to be walked outside. Feeding and caring for them takes very little time out of my day. This makes owning a cat stress-free, especially when I’m busy or just want to relax without added responsibilities.
Third Paragraph
Beyond being practical, cats provide emotional comfort. Their soft purring is known to reduce stress, and their gentle presence creates a peaceful home atmosphere. Whether they’re curling up in my lap or just quietly keeping me company, cats have a way of making me feel calm and loved without being overly demanding.
Conclusion
All things considered, cats are the perfect pet for me. They fit seamlessly into my life with their independence, cleanliness, and soothing nature. With a cat by my side, I get the best of both worlds: companionship and freedom. That’s why, for me, cats truly are the best pet.

I am really proud of myself for making this text because it was really good and convincing.

Dear shriya bhagwat,
I am writing to you about your story, namesake. I really liked it because the story was really interesting and really nice . My favourite part was when you described Mrs williamson really nicely.
The part of the story when Mrs williamson didnt understand bhanus name reminded me of a time my name got Misunderstood In yr 1.
However, I must admit I was not entirely satisfied with the ending of the story. I would like to suggest an alternative ending to the story. In this ending I want more punctuation and a more descriptive ending.
I also have some questions for you. Were the illustrations by you?
And was this story fiction or nonfiction? Were you born at this time?

This week we have been looking at persuasive writing. And we were writing persuasive texts about whether we should or shouldn’t wear school uniforms.
My work was about how we should wear school uniforms.

School uniform
Don’t you think that students deserve to be safe at school? Well then without doubt I believe that school uniform at school is a good idea. Because you can buy it once then you can just wear it 5 – days a week. You can just wear it everyday rather than buying clothes everyday for yourself for school. Also teachers won’t have to worry about losing sight of children at the playground or on school trips.
As we all know school uniforms need to be brought once a year and it doesn’t use money as much as non uniforms. Also when kids wear uniforms, both older and younger students feel like they are part of the same group. Firstly, rather than buying clothes for school everyday. Buying the school uniform is way cheaper than buying a non – uniform. Secondly you can just wear it to school and it will be easier than deciding what outfit to wear to school. Lastly, your school uniform represents your school with pride.
Again without doubt, students should wear a school uniform. Wearing a school uniform is for safety and for you to be recognised. Next time you get dressed for school think about these points !

This week in reading we have been looking at different journals and create tasks.

My book was The magpie tree and its about this 🡗
Maddy went to school with a shiny clip in her hair the magpie’s eye caught sight of it and he wanted to get so he kept on whooshing pass maddy and her friends. Maddy kept on thinking about the magpie and the next day she and her father came with an old tree branch and maddy told her idea to the teacher and the students they all thought it was a good idea. Maddys parents helped do stuff too and then after they were done they mde a magpie tree with shiny stuff so that magpie could go to that tree rather than chasing and whooshing past students.
In my first create task I had to make a book review.

In my second task I had to make an alternate ending for my text. And I think I did a pretty good job. hopefully you like it.

Dear Diary,
Today was an exciting day and really fun.
So let me tell you about it. Today it is my birthday and I wore a birthday girl badge + a party hat. When I went into the classroom there was no one I checked behind myself and everyone was there. They all sang happy birthday and rushed to hug me. This was something big for me because today I turned double digits. You might know my age. It rhymes with den. If you guessed ten then triple points. I saw almost everyone in my class. And also later my parents came in with a pink heart and bow cake. It was the best day ever. I heard everyone sing loudly again happy birthday while I was cutting the cake. I felt so good and happy. Hopefully this day never ends. I’m thinking about what will happen next and hopefully it is exciting. And I wonder what will happen next.
